Summer is just around the corner. I do not know about you, but I'm the type of person who likes to soak up every possible chance to be outside when Winnipeg isn't a freezer.
As soon as the spring air hits, my mindset is to do as many chores as possible involving spring cleaning; taking the Christmas lights down, prepping the yard, staining, painting and cleaning. Summer in reality is three (3) months - if we are lucky, so I want to spend the less nicer days doing chores so I can actually enjoy the short summers we get. So far I've been successful. Spring cleaning has happened (including the dreaded washing walls), our fire-pit is fully stocked with wood, backyard is all set up with furniture, plants and even the grass is flourishing. We've even stained a few pieces of furniture and I've even started to get some green popping up from the seeds I planted a few weeks ago.
I want to encourage you to get your hands dirty; plant something beautiful this year and take a picture of your hard work.
I will be starting a 'golden summer' collection of photographs and will be posting them here. Please check back for updates and let me know if there is something you'd like to see in this collection.
